Walk for Life Results
On May 1, despite the threat of rain, Hand of Hope held a well attended Walk for Life and Run, Baby, Run race. This was their eleventh annual walk and second annual race.
Many folks from Sovereign Grace attended. If you ran in the race, you can find your results as follows. Thanks to a registration snafu, special congratulations are due to Luke Briley for an impressive performance for a 99-year-old! See below for some pictures from the event.
The MSYG and HSYG held a friendly competition to see who could raise the most. The race came down to the wire, with the leader changing hands several times in the last few days leading up to the race. The MSYG closed the race slightly ahead, but there were impressive fundraising efforts on both sides. Together, our two youth group teams earned $6100 in donations for Hand of Hope! All together, Hand of Hope exceeded their goal of $80,000 in donations toward a replacement ultrasound scanner for their Fuquay location.
Our group was also well represented in the medal department.
Jones Franklin Rd - Location Update
We're also excited to report that the Raleigh Planning Commission approved Hand of Hope's zoning request to move their offices next door to the abortion clinic on Jones Franklin Rd. The next step is for the Raleigh City Council to review and approve the request.
Thank you so much for your faithful support and prayer for Hand of Hope's ministry!
