Most of us have preferences and opinions about things that could be better during our Sunday gatherings—things we wish we could change. However, some of us wish it was just a preference. Some people have unique design characteristics that make attending a large gathering of people early on a Sunday morning stressful or nigh on impossible.
For these beloved we want to serve them with extra intentionality, informed knowledge, respectful skill and gracious joy. The Special needs team wants to create an understanding and informed, tailored experience for anyone who may need extra help on a Sunday morning—as much as we possibly can.
- Leader: Beth Curtis
- Ideal Member: Someone who is deeply understanding and sympathetic to special circumstances and needs; Anyone with a foot-washer's-style-servant-heart;
- Service Schedule: Being on-call once to twice per month and being ready to serve as needs arise.
- Team Training: Ministry Safe and additional special written and video training for different potential sensory and learning-delayed needs that may come—as well as hands-on training and shadowing
