Visiting a church for the first time and trying to learn about it is daunting. Wouldn't it be great if there was an easy, comfortable way to interact with a smaller number of people who could answer questions and help learn about the culture?
The Connection Luncheon team is eager to do just that with anyone who cares to come. They prepare a luncheon in the honor of visiting guests to create a more intimate atmosphere away from the hustle and bustle of a post-service Lobby. Food ministers to the 12:15 hunger pangs and the people make sure there are good folks to talk with and opportunity to know our guests and help them know Cornerstone.
You'll get the food from Jersey Mike's, prepare lunch and set it out and oversee cleanup and reset of the Kitchen and Multi-Purpose Room once our guests have left.
- Leader: Jason and Jennifer Rickard
- Ideal Member: Someone who loves meeting new people and getting to know them; A member of the church who knows church-life and can confidently answer questions about what we believe and how we carry out our mission.
- Service Schedule: First Sunday of the month from 11:30am-2:00pm.
- Team Training: There will be hands-on training, a shadowing schedule and an annual meeting to evaluate goals and sharpen the experience.
