We have no light in ourselves, but when the light of Christ shines on us, everything changes. Like the moon reflecting the sun, Christians reflect the light of Christ into the dark world around us. Yet often we are very poor reflectors of that light, which is why Paul reminds us to live a life consistent with the light that is in us—a life where the light of Christ might shine in the darkness through our thoughts, words, and deeds.
