In the transfiguration we see a momentary glimpse of Jesus' divinity and true greatness. This vision strengthened the disciples—and strengthens us—for a lifetime of whatever hardship lies ahead of us. Jesus is our example in facing hardship, but more importantly the fact that he faced it for us gives us enduring hope and power.
