Grasping the majesty of Jesus Christ creates faith that springs into action: our seeing Christ produces faith in Christ which produces obedience to Christ. We see the calling and service that we are summoned to as disciples; we see the great personal cost that discipleship requires – laying down our lives – and we are provoked to discipleship and service by compassion and gratitude rooted in the cross.
