Jesus Christ is not only the Son of God, nor is he merely a man; he is God. Early on in the book of Mark, Mark establishes this by showing Jesus' authority to call disciples, to preach and teach from Scripture, to cast out demons, to heal people, and to forgive sins. Only God can do this!
