Husbands are called to a radical, Christ-inspired, self-sacrificial love for their wives. Called to love her as Christ loves the church: sacrificially, passionately, enduring and demonstrable. This means choosing—regardless of changing circumstances or feelings in the moment—to nurture, cherish, care for, protect, and even suffer for her benefit and well being as Christ has for his bride.
