Look to the Harvest…
Since the beginning of the All For Him campaign you’ve heard that the hopeful outcome of the campaign would be increased ministry in and from Cornerstone. One of the primary ways that ministry increases is through skilled and committed people. At the risk of stretching Jesus words to the disciples in John 4 out of shape, he didn’t invite them to pray to the Father to send more money, creative programs, or compelling strategies, he wanted more people. While all those other things are good and often necessary, it’s people that truly increase harvest collecting capacity.
Thanks to the overwhelming provision of the Lord through your consecrated gifts and free-will offerings and a surge of attendance growth over the past months, the elder’s prayerful ambition to add more staff has been strengthened. With the skilled assessment, counsel and wisdom of the Financial Advisory Board the elders have created four new positions to increase Cornerstone’s ability to accomplish our vision and values of loving God, one another and our neighbors through the teaching of sound doctrine, exercising spiritual gifts, growing relationships, and growing spiritually.
We believe that each of these positions (listed below) will not only increase our capacity for new ministry but also sharpen the ministry we’re already doing. They allow our current staff to refocus and give us greater ability to support all of you, so that Cornerstone can benefit from all the gifts in her midst.
We know that there is a lot to iron out before we’re ready to officially begin taking applications, but we are excited to share this good news with you. We invite you to join us in celebrating. Give thanks to the Lord; his abundant blessing has made this possible! We also invite you to consider whether you may be one of the people to fill one of these positions. If you are interested and can’t wait to declare your interest until the official channels are open, please inform Benjamin of your interest. Until then, let’s praise the Lord for all his many blessings and pray for the Lord of the harvest to send more laborers into his fields!
